Our ice shelters are a great choice for people that are looking to stay warm and have cover from the elements. It's an 8x15 hut with a wood stove,  no floor and an outhouse. Simple but effective. They come equipped with firewood and an ice scoop.

PERCH PALACE 

A luxury way to spend a day on the ice. Our perch palaces are insulated cabins with a wood stove for heat and cooking purposes. They have up to 6  holes inside so you and your friends can fish in comfort.  They also have an outhouse for when nature calls. They come equipped with firewood, ice scoops, a cook kit  & tape measure. If you enjoy fishing in comfort  a perch palace is for you!

Bear Trak Outfitters operates on Black Bay, Lake Superior. In the winter months we  specialize in taking care of all your ice fishing needs.

Ever since efforts were made some years ago to limit the commercial catch of perch in Black Bay the fishery has rebounded and the ice fishing action for perch is on fire all winter long .

​You may even get lucky and catch one of the many other species that lurk in these waters like Northern Pike , Whitefish, Rainbow Trout or even a trophy Walleye, but Walleye cannot be kept as part of your creel in this part of the bay, however the experience of catching and releasing one of these trophies is an added bonus.
